About Hostal Marques de Zahara

The Hostal Rural Marqués de Zahara is the result of the reformation of a manor house to a rural hotel, maintaining its intimate and relaxing atmosphere.

Its ten rooms are distributed on two floors and built around a traditional central patio. Rooms are decorated in typical Castellano style and fully equipped with private bathroom, air conditioning, led TV and free WiFi.

From the plant decorated patio we can access the bar cafeteria “Don Rodrigo”, where we can enjoy the breakfast in the morning starting the day, or an aperitif glass at sunset. 200 meters from the hotel there is a free parking area and an underground paid parking.

Situated in the artistic and historical area of Villa de Zahara, it’s the ideal starting point to explore the Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos, or follow the walking routes of the Natural Park “Sierra de Grazalema”. At the lake you can hire kayaks, go fishing, and enjoy other sports like swimming etc. Every year in September the Triathlon TITAN is hosted here and other mountain events like the Las Palomas Trail, or the Pinsapar Cañon Trail in April.

The popular celebrations of Corpus Christi in June and the anniversary of the Taking of the Villa de Zahara at the end of October are certainly worth a mention. And don’t forget to take a sample of the magnificent locally produced olive oil when you go.

Without doubt this is the ideal location to enjoy rest and relax whilst learning more of the culture and traditions of the Pueblos Blancos de Andalucía in incredible surroundings.

Magnifica estancia en un hostal muy agradable.

Se trata de un hostal con una ubicacion inmejorable en pleno centro de un pueblo precioso. Esta muy limpio, las camas son muy comodas y nuestra habitacion era bastante grande para 3 personas. La habitacion daba a la calle de los bares con mucho bullicio pero esta perfectamente insonorizada con buenas ventanas con lo que pudimos descansar perfectamente. Ha sido una estancia maravillosa. Otra cosa a destacar es que el pueblo esta precioso decorado para sus fiestas de Agosto ¡merece la pena verlo!.

Hostal con buena relación calidad.precio. Nuestra habitación era en primera planta, pero daba a exterior como un bajo, por lo que no tenía privacidad si abrías la ventana. El interior de.la habitación bastante antiguo. Camas cómodas. Personal muy atento y servicial. Desayuno muy bueno y variado.

Terrific hotel in Zahara

We loved this hotel on the main street in Zahara. The man at reception was friendly and helpful and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. They also contained lovely Andalusian decorations. The town itself is quite charming and the views from the castle are spectacular. The breakfast in the morning was plentiful and the coffee excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel while in Zahara.

Great Stay

Spent one night here. The hotel is very well situated at the top of the town, close to bars and restaurants. The hotel is quite small - a delightful town house around a central courtyard. The room was large and very clean although the decoration was a bit dated. Dont be put off. The bed was very comfortable. We would definitely return. Thank you for a great stay.
